煤霞 (Sumika) -Soot Haze

煤 (Sumi)- "Soot" | 霞 (Ka)-"Haze" or "Mist,"

This cup evokes the soft veil of glaze that settles unevenly, like morning fog dissolving into the warmth of day.

The gradient of raw, smoke-toned clay to an ashen, speckled glaze mirrors the delicate blur between ember and air, permanence and impermanence.

With its grounded weight and sculptural form, Sumika invites you to hold stillness in your hands—each sip carrying the quiet hush of fading embers.
